Motherhood and the long detour

Yes, I know I have been away for a long time now but I had a good reason for this unplanned sabbatical. So hear me out.

So while my blog was starting to be fairly successful, I decided to branch out and start my cooking classes in Sydney. I loved the experience of meeting new people and sharing my knowledge with wonderful people around me. I expected it to start slow and then gradually pick up pace, but I was wrong. I got a huge response which kept me busy on weekends and I had my hands full. In all the madness that surrounded me, life had other plans.

In the spring of 2014, I learnt that I was pregnant with my lovely Vivienne. To say it was overwhelming would be an understatement and so everything just took a backseat and became background noise. Even though I thought about my blog, I decided not to work on it as I wanted to enjoy this new phase of life and promised myself that I’ll be back when my little one allows me. Last week she turned one, and now that she is happily crawling and spends time with her toys and with her Dad being a tremendous help, mum finally has the time to work on her blog.

So I’m back, with a completely new look for my blog because well, I feel like a new person. I became a mother, I changed my last name to my husband’s name and my blog got the long needed makeover. I wanted a minimalist design which got rid of any distractions, and I couldn’t be more happier with the result. I will keep improvising to keep the blog as simple as I can and post as often as possible. This blog has always been my happy space and will be alive and kicking for years to come.
